Texas A&M Aggies
Point Spread Pick
Texas A&M -15.5(-110)

The Texas A&M Aggies take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a SEC battle. Texas A&M’s only loss came from Notre Dame in the first game of the season and since then they have been rolling. They have reeled off 5 straight wins including 3 SEC wins over Florida, Arkansas, and Missouri. Their latest win was a 41-10 win over Mizzou who was the 9th-ranked team in the country at the time. In the complete opposite of A&M, Mississippi State is 1-5 and has reeled off 5 straight losses including a loss to Toledo. To be fair to Mississippi State they have played 2 teams who were both ranked number 1 and Arizona State who is 5-1. They are one of the worst teams in the SEC and have another tough game this week.

The Aggies are a defensive team. They only allow on average 16.7 points and 318 yards per game which is 17th in the country. Offensively their numbers rank 51st but those numbers are skewed. The Aggies were without their starting quarterback, Conner Weigman, for 3 games this year. In the 3 games Weigman has played this year the A&M has a 10-point win over the currently 12th-ranked team in the country Notre Dame, a 52-10 win over McNeese State, and a 41-10 win over Missouri. Weigman isn’t exactly lighting it up by the numbers but the Aggies are winning big games or putting up big numbers when he is in the game. Texas A&M’s offensive weapon is Le’Veon Moss at running back who has 88 carries for 609 yards and 6 touchdowns. Moss is not the only rushing weapon considering the Aggies average 232.3 rushing yards per game which is 9th best in the country. The Aggies have a clear game plan of playing good defense, controlling the clock with the run, and keeping good field position. Mississippi State is going to play right into that plan. The Bulldogs rank 118 in defense allowing 33.2 points and 465.8 yards per game, including a 120th-worst 201.8 rushing yards per game. Offensively the Bulldogs like to throw the ball, averaging almost double the amount of passing yards as rushing yards, which will also stop the clock with incomplete passes and give A&M more time to score. Take the Aggies to cover on the road against a mediocre Mississippi State team.

Texas A&M -15.5 is available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
