The Kentucky Wildcats take on the Florida Gators in an SEC battle. Kentucky is coming off a 20-13 loss to Vandy at home, which was embarrassing for the Wildcats after beating Ole Miss on the road the week before. They are now 3-3 and 1-3 in conference play, landing them near the bottom of the SEC. They need a win in this game to get back on track. Also 3-3, Florida is coming off an overtime loss to Tennessee. Despite it being a loss, Florida did well to push Tennessee to overtime on the road as a +13.5 underdog. UF was written off early following a 41-17 loss to Miami to open the season but since then they boasts wins over Samford, UCF and Mississippi State and its losses are getting better and better each week. The Gators would also love to get a win in this game and get back on track. 

Kentucky has leaned heavily on its defense this year, and with good reason. The Wildcats have the 9th-ranked defense in the country, allowing only 14.5 points and 251.5 yards per game. That is bad news for a Florida offense that is around the middle of the pack and averages only 28 points and 402.8 yards per game. Kentucky has proven that it can hold elite offenses like Georgia and Ole Miss to 13 and 17 points, respectively. Offensively the Wildcats cannot score. They rank 114th averaging only 20.5 points and 321.7 yards per game. They are playing a Florida team that is near the middle of the pack defensively but they may still struggle to score. Kentucky not being able to score is going to be the deciding factor in this game. The ‘Cats have averaged only 12.75 points in SEC play. Florida’s offense, despite the numbers, has been inept at best. The Gators only average 16.75 points per game when playing teams with a .500 record or better. They had 3 points at halftime last week against the 4th-ranked Tennessee defense and will now see the 9th-ranked defense in the country coming to town. UK has hit the under in 5 of its last 6 games and 4 of its last 6 against UF.
