Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs Louisville Cardinals Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/21/24
Georgia Tech vs Louisville Pickswise Expert Predictions
Louisville, like most teams across the country, is opening conference play this week. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech has already played 4 total games, including 2 conference games. We should have a pretty good idea of who Tech is at this point, so what shall we do with our Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs Louisville Cardinals prediction? I am all over Louisville in this one. I am of the opinion that Louisville and Miami are the best two teams in the ACC, and I think Louisville has a legitimate shot at getting to a second straight conference title game. That journey begins with handling the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.
Louisville was one of the best defenses in the country last year, and nearly everyone returned. That side of the ball should be fierce. On offense, they brought in Texas Tech transfer Tyler Shough, and the early returns are that he took a step forward since joining up with Jeff Brohm. The Cardinals are untested thus far, having played two inferior opponents, but they have averaged about 600 yards of offense per game. That is impressive against anyone. I do not expect the GT defense to do much to slow them down. Remember, this Tech defense went on the road against a similar offense in Syracuse, and they got lit up for most of the game, including 381 yards through the air. Early public money is taking the points with the Jackets, but that feels like a bad play that is based on the Florida State opener. I think the better play is on a Louisville team that might be way better than you think. My Georgia Tech vs Louisville prediction is the Cardinals -10.5. As of the time of publishing, several books have this one at -10, so shop around as the week goes on.
Georgia Tech vs Louisville Prediction: Louisville -10.5 (-110) available at the time of publishing. Playable to -13.
