Charlotte 49ers vs Indiana Hoosiers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 09/21/24

The Indiana Hoosiers have gotten off to a solid start this season sitting at a record of 3-0. Indiana will have a good chance Saturday afternoon to gain their fourth straight win to start the season when they take on the Charlotte 49ers. Indiana had their most impressive victory of the season last week, traveling to UCLA and beating down the Bruins 42-13 as 3.5-point favorite. Senior quarterback Kurtis Rourke has thrown for 755 and 7 touchdowns to start the season. He has yet to make a mistake by throwing an INT. Charlotte has managed to win one of their first three games. The team out of the AAC has already been matched up with a Power Four team this season. They took on the North Carolina Tarheels and managed to put together a respectable effort, keeping the score at 38-20 in favor of the Tarheels. North Carolina was missing their starting quarterback in this game, but 20 points against an ACC opponent is impressive for a lower-level school.

Saturday will be Indiana’s chance to go 4-0 to start the season for the first time since 2020. Quarterback Kurtis Rourke has done nothing but impress since transferring from the University of Ohio. Rourke won the award of Big Ten offensive player of the week last week as he looks to continue to lead what looks will be an explosive Hoosiers offense all season. Rourke hasn’t made a mistake yet this season, and I don’t expect Charlotte’s defense to cause much opposition to change that fact. Indiana’s offense has produced 119 points in the last two weeks combined. They could very much cover this total by themselves. But as a security blanket, Charlotte’s offense should be able to produce some offense to help with the total. Charlotte’s offense has been taken over by Deshawn Purdie, who managed to throw for two touchdowns against North Carolina and pick up a win over Gardener Webb in his week and a half under center.
