Army Black Knights vs North Texas Mean Green Prediction, Odds and Picks for Saturday, 11/09/24
Army vs North Texas Pickswise Expert Predictions
We have a key matchup in the AAC, and we are here with your Army Black Knights vs North Texas Mean Green prediction for Saturday. The most important question in this game is the availability of Bryson Daily, the quarterback for Army. As of the time of this writing (Wednesday), Daily is listed as questionable, but my guess is he is on the wrong side of questionable and that this is the sort of gamesmanship we see from coaches constantly at the college level. If Daily does not play, I am breaking hard to the Mean Green. If we get to Saturday and Daily does play, however, then this line will likely swing in Army’s direction. For now, my Army vs North Texas prediction is North Texas +5.5.
Without Daily, the Army offense struggled tremendously last week against Air Force. Air Force is not a good defense at all, and while they are more able to stop the triple option than most other teams, Army did not show the offensive threat they have the rest of the season. There were tons of bad reads, and when an option team gets behind the sticks, they fail. On the other side of the ball, this matchup is a tough one for Army anyway. North Texas is the first real ariel attack they have faced. Indeed, Mean Green QB Chandler Morris leads the nation in passing yards per game with nearly 360 yards per contest (I bet you didn’t know that!). Regardless of the health of Daily, the offense of North Texas is going to be a problem for Army. I think this game is a matchup problem for the Black Knights, even with Daily, and there is a strong chance that the magical season of Army comes to a halt here. Give me the points with the Green Wave.
Army vs North Texas Prediction: North Texas +5.5 (-110) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
