They have lost 6 in a row and are dropping down the standings fast. They still have a chance to make the playoffs, but they need to turn this losing ship around and fast.

The Sabres are not close to a playoff spot and probably won’t be there for the next 20 years. They have lost 4 of their last 5 games and are giving up a ton of goals. They are 9-18-3 on the road and are a perfect team to end Detroit’s losing streak. Outside of Tage Thompson, this team doesn’t have many offensive threats. Rasmus Dahlin can produce, but he needs to help defend because his goalies need it. The Red Wings need this one and we can expect them to come out with some desperation. They have the offensive depth up front to score goals, but that doesn’t matter if the puck doesn’t find the back of the net. Let’s hope they score enough goals to win the game.
